Narrative art tells a story using visual images to ignite imagination. Join us for this class, where we will use art to drive a story!

Students will:

- be tasked to pay attention to sensory details and identify how color, line, and movement are used to help tell stories.

- analyze two paintings by Claude-Joseph Vernet depicting two different landscapes: one calm and one stormy. (A Calm at a Mediterranean Port & A Storm on the Mediterranean Coast )

- write a narrative inspired by the two paintings.

- share their story with the group (if time allows).

Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable with writing to attend this class.
