A Cinquain is a type of shape poem where a uniquely symmetrical shape takes form as the poem is created using an exact number of words on each of its 5 lines. This class will explore this popular form of poetry, much loved for its simplicity and descriptive language.
In this class, we will:
- learn what a cinquain poem is and how to write one
- brainstorm ideas for poem topics
- write cinquain poems
- share our poems with each other
Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable with writing to attend this class.
