Red, by Haden Bowden

Fire

Last Friday was a Day of Poetry in Writer's Club! We explored alliteration, tongue twisters, and closed out our day by creating fun simile-focused poetry about colors. Enjoy this one from Haden Bowden about the color red!

Red looks like a blazing fire at night.
Red smells like a juicy apple at lunch.
Red tastes like a fireball that is tasty.
Red feels warm like a big blanket.
Red sounds like crickets at a red sunset at exactly 8:00 pm in September.
